Patient Network

The SIGN Patient and Public Involvement Network is a virtual group of third sector organisation representatives, people with lived experience, service users, and the public.

We currently have approximately 400 members who help us by:

  • telling us about the issues relevant to patients for each guideline topic;
  • nominating people who could become involved in guideline development;
  • commenting on guidelines and patient versions (see consultations)
  • inviting us to events where we could promote our work;
  • helping to distribute our information to relevant groups; and
  • helping us to collect patient views via surveys and focus groups.

You can find out how this group works from an overview and the terms of reference.
