21. The guideline should present key review criteria for monitoring and audit purposes
Measuring the adherence to a guideline can enhance its use. This requires clearly defined review criteria that are derived from the major recommendations of the guideline. The guideline should list criteria against which implementation of the recommendations can be monitored and audited. Where possible, these should be linked with minimum data sets routinely collected in hospitals and general practice.|
