Since the publication of Breast Cancer in Women, in 1998 there have been new data published to update recommendations in several areas such as psychological issues, surgery, radiotherapy techniques, and systemic treatments. This new guideline, which replaces SIGN 29, focuses attention on the evidence to support practices in the more controversial areas.
